2023 Brooks Running Valentine’s Day cards

Who doesn’t enjoy a punny Valentine’s Day card? Ok, I’m sure there are some folks who think it’s cheesy, but in February 2023, I wanted to come up with a fun way to keep my coworkers engaged in a presentation and spread some Brooks love at the same time.

Enter: the 2023 Brooks Running Valentine’s Day cards. I made a template in Canva and came up with thirteen lovely puns involving the names of Brooks’ shoes. These were used in a presentation for a training session I led called Footwear Office Hours, as well as distributed via the Brooks SharePoint page (internal resource) for employees who wanted to shoe off their love (too much?).

2023 Brooks Running “Runner Experience Direct-to-Runner (REx DTR)’s Post-Channel Switching Era” presentation

I am definitely in my using-pop-culture-moments-for-personal-gain era, and if you don’t believe me, check out some example slides from a presentation I gave to my team which utilized Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour and her different eras of music to convey important strategies for customer care and contact center optimization.

The manager of our contact center wanted to optimize the customer’s experience by reducing “channel switching,” essentially meaning that if a customer called our contact center, we would take care of them exclusively over the phone rather than asking for more information that could only be given via email. I set important tactics of the new strategy to a different song from each era of Taylor’s music (at the time Midnights was the latest album).

While Taylor gets all the credit for the most important parts of copy included here, this presentation showcases my creative thinking and ability to develop engaging content, even for something – let’s face it – not very riveting.
