Pride Run Club, 2021-2022

I founded Pride Run Club in South Bend, IN in October 2021 and served as the Director for approximately one and a half years, until May 2023 when I moved to Seattle, WA. Pride Run Club is a LGBTQ+ running and walking group that meets weekly in South Bend, IN and is open to all members and allies of the LGBTQ+ community. I saw a need for a healthy form of community among LGBTQ+ persons in northern Indiana, and I believe in the notion that if something you want to see does not exist in the world, you must be the one to create it. Thus, Pride Run Club became a reality.

As Founder, I set the club’s mission, vision, and values. As Director, I oversaw all operations, including creating content for the club’s Instagram and Facebook pages. All social posts from inception until April 26, 2023 are mine, including design and copy. I also designed the original (which remain the current) logos for Pride Run Club.

Nowadays, I have some amazing friends who took over leadership of the club, and they have partnered with The LGBTQ Center of Northern Indiana to promote the club’s activities. I still attend whenever I’m back in Indiana!
